How do I make the other images the same size as the default product image?

You can adjust these sizes by going to Design > Themes (select and edit the active theme), then click on Product Detail (under General Settings, Display on the left) and change the Product Thumbnail: to Custom and adjust the Width and Height. Then save theme settings.
