It's not possible to place the text on
your product thumbnails due to positioning/space issues and other
technical restrictions, however there is another alternative.
For the products activated as advanced orders, also create a compulsory
text variant question titled something like "This product will only be
available from the 24th, please enter 'yes' to the box to confirm."
By doing this, when a customer clicks 'add to cart' from the thumbnail,
they are redirected to the detailed product page with a pop up alert and
the above sentence. They then must enter 'yes' to the text field before
they can add the product to the cart.
It's a simple extra step and confirms that the customer definitely understood it's an advanced order before purchasing.
