- Do not use Stock Levels
By selecting this option from the drop down list, you have chosen to have your products in the store to always be available; they will not run out of stock.
- Use Product-based Stock Levels
By selecting this option from the drop down list, you have chosen to specify the quantity of this product available, no matter what variants you have in place. Simply enter the 'current stock level' of the product and the alert level which will send you an email if stocks are low.
If you select to use advanced orders for when the stock runs out, your custom text will automatically appear and allow customers to purchase this product.
- Use Variant-Based Stock Levels
By selecting this option from the drop down list, you have chosen to specify the quantity of this products variants available.
Stock levels can be managed over only one variant group, however from the "Variant Templates" settings page you can combine variant groups such as size and colour so that stock can be managed over multiple type of variant groups. e.g. you can manage stock for a blue tshirt in size 38. To enable this you must first combine your variant groups from the "variant templates" section
From the "New Variant" drop down box (see picture below), select your variant group to apply to this product. Once selected, it will automatically be added to the list below. Repeat this process to add multiple variant groups to this product.
Once you have all your Variant groups added, you must select the default group to manage stock. Do this by pressing the "Stock Variant" radio button for the appropriate group.
"Out of Stock" display settings are as follows;
- Product Thumbnail - The words "Out of Stock" appear as non clickable text. The text "Add to Watch List" appears as a clickable link (not button) directly below "Out of Stock" in smaller font and an icon.
- Product Detail Page - The words "Out of Stock" appear as non clickable text. The text "Add to Watch List" appears as a clickable link (not button) directly below "Out of Stock" in smaller font and an icon.
The watch list link will manage the product list located in the customers management panel. The customer must be logged in to apply products to their watch list

Variant Based Stock Control
Advanced order storefront display settings are as follows;
- Product Thumbnail - Standard "add to cart" button appears with qty field. Custom text only appears in the "added to cart" pop up window as there is space limitations on the thumbnail. Customer can click on "more details" link to see product detail page.
- Product Detail Page - Standard "add to cart" button appears with qty field. Custom text appears directly adjacent to the button.
