Follow the steps below to configure Mac OS X Mail for use with your Ashop e-mail account using the IMAP Protocol.
This article only applies to standard Ashop e-mail accounts.
Before you begin, you will need to create an e-mail account in your Ashop Admin Panel.
Step 1
Open Finder and launch the Mail application.
Step 2
Click the Mail menu and select Preferences. Select Prefrences from the Mail menu Select Prefrences from the Mail menu

Click the Accounts icon at the top of the window and then click the plus sign (+) at the bottom-left of the window to add an account. Click Accounts, then click the plus-sign

Enter your Full Name, Email Address and Password. When finished, click the Continue button. Enter your information and click Continue

From the Account Type drop-down menu, select IMAP. Select IMAP from the Account Type menu

Enter a Description to differentiate the Ashop IMAP server from others you may have added to Mac Mail.
Enter mail.ashopcommerce.com as the Incoming Mail Server
Enter your full Ashop e-mail address as the User Name
Enter the e-mail account's Password
Click the Continue button when finished.
Enter the appropriate information and click Continue

Enter a Description to differentiate the Ashop SMTP server from others you may have added to Mac Mail.

Enter mail.ashopcommerce.com as the Outgoing Mail Server
Check the box for Use Authentication
Enter your full Ashop e-mail address as the User Name
Enter the e-mail account's Password.
Click the Continue button when finished. Click Continue

Review the information entered on the the Account Summary page. If all information is correct, check the box for Take account online and click the Create button. Check the 'Take account online' box and click Create

Close the Accounts window. Close the window

Your mail should be downloaded and displayed in the Mail window. Your mail is displayed
Note: Make sure that the incoming server port number is 110, for the outgoing server port number 587.
