Draw customers in with promotions like free shipping over $X

If there’s one thing people love—and seek out—when doing their holiday shopping online, it’s free
shipping. Adding in a free gift with each purchase is another popular promotion. And both of these
options are relatively easy to execute.

Shipping can be fairly expensive to your business, so you would generally only give this for purchases over e.g. $150. You might even offer a simple upgrade from 5 days shipping to express shipping with tracking.

Giving a free gift works best if it's fairly inexpensive and from your own inventory. It should still be something exciting, if you dissapoint your customers when it arrives, this leaves a bad taste to your brand image.

These offers will 1) increase conversion rates, and 2) increase average order value.
